I'M SHARYE MARX

I was born in Palm Springs but now live in San Jacinto, CA.

I am passionate about intuitive imagination, emotional color response and nature.

Many of my themes are floral, aquatic, and nebulous, though I often love to explore the female form and trees. Sometimes in the same image. I might throw in a few birds and insects occasionally.

I primarily work with acrylic mixed with various other mediums like airbrush, matte varnish, modeling paste, flow, pouring and cell mediums, ect, and avoid using water that could weaken the integrity of the paint. I've been known to sometimes throw in a little oil pastels once in a while. My secondary medium is watercolor.

Career Highlights

I have shown and sold works in Washington State at places like the Annex in Auburn and other small venues starting in 2000.
In 2013 I worked with the KaleidaKulture events hosted at the Diomand Vally Arts Association in Hemet, CA.
In 2019 I was a part of the Spellbound show at the Middle Ridge Winery in Idylwild, CA.
I have had work at Harvard Street Music Exchange in Hemet, CA, since 2018 and have done art events with them and am still there.
And I am presently in the Golden Pines Gallery in Idylwild, CA, and on the Fusion Art website.
